Edge banding machine for sale.

How to choose an edge banding machine:

1. The selection of edge banding machine mainly depends on the shape characteristics of the workpiece you are processing, the edge banding material, as well as considerations of production efficiency and quality.
2. Linear edge banding is commonly used on simple shaped products such as office furniture and cabinets. When configuring, the main consideration is the increase or decrease in production capacity and some functions, such as adding scraper devices to PVC or ABS edge banding materials. A finishing knife and sanding device need to be added to the solid wood edge banding. To ensure the quality of edge banding is not affected by low winter temperatures, it is best to choose an edge banding machine equipped with a far-infrared preheating device. There are also many other optional additional configurations, such as automatic tracking rounded corner trimming function, milling cutter device, etc.

3. Curve edge sealing can be processed using several methods. At present, most manufacturers use manual edge banding machines to process curved edge components, especially for sheet metal components with internal arcs. The diameter of the edge banding machine wheel will determine the maximum curve depth that can be processed. Using a manual edge banding machine to seal curved edges has the characteristics of simple operation and low investment. However, due to the use of manual edge sealing, the quality is relatively low, mainly manifested in low bonding strength, poor repeatability accuracy, and high rework rate. At the same time, manual edge banding machines are relatively difficult for commonly used thick edge banding strips, while thin edge banding strips used on some invisible components can be processed in straight and curved lines.
4. Usually, the combination of manual edge banding machines and automatic straight edge banding machines can meet the requirements of general products, while also improving efficiency and reducing production costs for products that only have straight edge banding.
5. In order to achieve a stable and high-quality level, curve edge banding machines need to use CNC machining centers or CNC edge banding machines. These two types of machines can show special advantages for edge banding on some special curved surfaces, such as using edge banding strip length counters to minimize the gap between circular edge banding, which is more suitable for manufacturing high-end furniture products. The difference between the two is that a machining center can complete all the processes from raw board sawing to final component forming, while a dedicated CNC edge banding machine can only complete edge banding and alignment processes. The disadvantage of using a machining center for edge banding is that it takes up a large total processing time and reduces the overall production efficiency.
