Sanding machines are widely used woodworking machinery, indispensable for many woodworking operations. Managing a sanding machine production line requires mastering certain techniques to increase production efficiency and quality while reducing safety hazards during operation.

1. Label the voltage of all power sockets to prevent low-voltage equipment from being mistakenly connected to high-voltage equipment.

2. Label both the front and back of all doors with whether they should be opened by “push” or “pull”. This greatly reduces the chance of door damage and facilitates normal entry and exit.

3. Use a different color to distinguish the instructions for products requiring urgent production, making it easy to prioritize them for production line scheduling, inspection, packaging, and shipping.

4. All containers containing high pressure should be securely fixed, such as fire extinguishers and oxygen cylinders. This can reduce the possibility of accidents. 5. When a new worker starts operating on the production line, mark their arm with “Newcomer” to remind them they are still a beginner and allow QC personnel to give them extra attention.

6. For doors that need to be kept closed despite being used, install automatic closing levers. This ensures the doors remain closed and reduces the chance of damage (no one will forcefully open or close them).

7. Establish maximum and minimum inventory levels for each product in the finished goods, semi-finished goods, and raw material warehouses, and clearly display the current inventory. This provides a clear understanding of the actual inventory situation, preventing overstocking and ensuring that needed products are available when not in stock.

8. Production line switches and buttons should ideally not face aisles. If they must face aisles, protect them with covers. This prevents vehicles passing by from accidentally hitting the buttons and causing accidents.

9. Access to the factory control center is restricted to personnel only. To prevent serious accidents caused by the “curiosity” of unauthorized personnel.

10. For all types of meters that rely on pointers to indicate values, such as ammeters, voltmeters, and pressure gauges, use a conspicuous marker to indicate the range in which the pointer should be during normal operation. This makes it easier to know whether the equipment is functioning normally.
