1) Body cleaning: After each workday, use a soft cloth or brush to remove dust and wood chips from the six-sided drill, especially on key parts like guide rails and lead screws, to keep the equipment clean and ensure proper operation.
2) Drill bit maintenance: Use a soft cloth or brush to remove dust and stains from the drill bit to maintain processing accuracy. For stubborn stains, use a diamond cleaner, then wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
2. Lubrication and maintenance
1) Regular oiling: We generally recommend lubricating and maintaining the six-sided drill every 40 hours of work or every two weeks, based on the frequency of use. Use grease purchased from formal channels that meets the requirements of the equipment, such as Kluber L32N grease. When you fill oil, make sure to power off the machine to prevent accidental operation that could cause injury to it.
2) Oil filling operation: Use a suitable oiler, like a 400cc high-pressure grease gun with a locking nozzle, for grease filling. Locate the oil filling hole on the drill and inject about 5cc of grease into each hole, as specified in the equipment manual.During the grease filling process, you must not mix greases of different brands to avoid damaging the equipment.
3. Transmission component maintenance
1) Guide rails and lead screws: Keeping them clean is essential for extending their service life. Regularly remove wood chips, dust, and other impurities, and add antifreeze oil or special lubricating oil as needed to ensure smooth operation.
2) Main air intake pipe: Regularly check whether there is water accumulation in the main air intake pipe. If necessary, drain it in time to prevent water from entering the equipment and causing corrosion or failure.
4. Maintenance for long downtime
If the user does not use the six-sided drill for a long time, they should regularly start the equipment and run it idle to ensure all parts operate normally. At the same time, they still need to clean and lubricate it according to the above maintenance steps to prevent damage from long-term idleness.
